Storyline
Aliyá en hebreo significa subir e inmigrar a Israel; Yeridá, lo contrario, descender y emigrar. A partir de archivos familiares el director intenta comprender las motivaciones de su familia paterna para emigrar a Israel en 1970, así como las decepciones que ocasionaron su regreso a Chile una década después. Aquel ascenso y descenso es contrastado con su experiencia en Chile, Israel y Palestina.
Aliyá in Hebrew means to go up and immigrate to Israel; Yeridá, the opposite, to descend and emigrate. Using family archives, the director tries to understand his paternal family's motivations for emigrating to Israel in 1970, as well as the disappointments that led to their return to Chile a decade later. That rise and fall is contrasted with his experience in Chile, Israel and Palestine.
